The Soviets continued their drive well into February to secure a bridgehead across the Vistula River, one of the last natural barriers before Prague. On the 10th, the advance guard of 185th Rifle Division, supported by tanks from the 12th Guards Heavy Tank Regiment, attacked a dug-in German force near the Zabzhet on the Little Vistula.
Objectives: Your company is tasked with eliminating all resistance inside the area marked on the Commander's Map. Your platoon is deployed on the road, and forms the right flank of the company line. The attack will be made without benefit of our Mechanized Guns, but the Fascists will be unable to muster much of a defense. Move cautiously and conserve ammo; make every shot count. Make sure to remain buttoned up until the nearest enemy machine gun positions are destroyed.
